Carne Asada literally means “grilled meat” in Spanish and, with a name like that, it was obvious that we needed to make a version in our own signature Kinders style. We were inspired by the amazing flavors of fresh citrus in traditional Mexican food, so we started with a base of real orange and lime juice, and then added sea salt, garlic and a blend of cumin and other spices. And whether you put it on beef, chicken, pork, or veggies, we think you’ll find it stands up to anything you’ll find at your local taco shop.

In 1946, World War II Navy veteran John Kinder started his own butcher shop in a small storefront in San Pablo, California. Over the next seven decades, John built a reputation for commitment to quality, family service and amazing flavors. At the age of 90, he was still showing up first and helping customers find quality ingredients to make clean, delicious meals for family and friends. At Kinders, we carry on Grandpa John's legacy.
